Abstract
The effects of postharvest antifungal treatments including UV irradiation, temperature treatment and fungicide treatment(imazalil, prochloraz and carbendazim)on the growth of A. carbonarius and production of ochratoxin A(OTA)were evaluated. The results showed that UV irradiation significantly decreased the spore germination and mycelial growth of A. carbonarius. However,OTA production were increased with the prolong of the pathogen exposed to UV irradiation, and OTA production was up to 3.18 times compared with control, when the exposed time was 45 min. Effects of Temperature treatment on the growth of the pathogen and OTA production were similar, which could be inhibited completely at 4 ℃and improved at 25 ℃. Fungicide treatment decreased the spore germination and mycelial growth obviousl. However,Fungicide treatment with a medium dose(carbendazim,0.12 μg/mL;imazalil and prochloraz,0.06 μg/mL)could stimulate the pathogen producing a great deal of mycotoxin, and OTA production were 6.31,23.7 and 6.17 times separately of control. Therefore,UV irradiation and chemical fungicidal treatment under improper conditions could stimulate A. carbonarius producting a lot of OTA,and reasonable using fungicidal treatment have great significance for ensuring the safe storage, sales, and processing of grapes.
