Progress on detection methods of Campylobacter jejuni in foods

  • Campylobacter is a food- borne human enteric pathogen, and also closely related to Guillain- Barre syndrome. In recent years, the cases of food safety caused by poultry meat and milk contaminated by Campylobacter were rising rapidly, especially in developed countries. Researching effective and rapid detection methods of animal food processing and consumption chain by pollution of Campylobacter was the first step to control food pollution by Campylobacter and prevalence of human Campylobacteriosis. The new studies of detection methods for Campylobacter jejuni during food processing and storage were summarized in the paper.
