Study on the ge-accumulation of Ganoderma applanatum in submerged culture

  • The effects of different concentrations of inorganic germanium on biomass, the contents of organic germanium, extracellular polysaccharide, adenosine and intracellular polysaccharide in submerged culture of Ganoderma applanatum were studied. Results showed that 50 ~ 250μg /mL of germanium in the culture promoted the content of main active components in the mycelia and fermentation broth. When the level of germanium was 250μg /mL, the content of biomass, intracellular polysaccharide and adenosine reached the peak, 15.44g /L, 588μg /g, 24.88mg /g, 1.41mg / g, respectively. As compared with the control bank, these increased by 33.1%, 1267.4%, 73.9%, 101.4%.The extracellular polysaccharide reached 1.12g /L and increased 31.7% compared with the control bank when the level of germanium was 150μg /mL.
