Aqueous enzymatic extraction of hemp seed oil

  • Aqueous enzymatic extraction ( AEE) of oil from hemp seed was performed.The AEE parameters namely enzyme type, mixed enzyme amount, liquid /solid ratio and extraction time were optimized by single factor experiment and response surface methodology. The results showed that the best extraction effect was obtained when the ratio of acid protease enzyme and cellulose compound was equal to 1 ∶ 1 and adding acid protease enzyme first.The optimal extraction conditions for hemp seed oil yield were compound enzyme additive amount, liquid /solid ratio, enzymolysis time as 1.10% ( w /w) , 1 ∶ 3.6g /mL, 3.8h. Under the optimum conditions, the experimental oil extraction yield was 75.64%.
