Research progress in natural coating materials of citrus fruit storage

  • Coating preservation is an important part of postharvest citrus fruit storage period. With the continuous improvement of the requirements of fruit and vegetable preservation, the natural coating material in fruit and vegetable preservation has been increasingly widespread.In present, main natural coating materials used in citrus fruit storage were wax, shelacc, chitosan, locust bean gum, konjac glucomannan and sucorse methacrylate monomer.The study andapplication advancement of these natural materials in citrus fruit storage was reviewed.
