The antilipemic function of royal jelly proteins and lipids

Aim to research the antilipemic function of protein and lipids of royal jelly (RJ) . Its indexes were TC, TG and HDL-C in serum, atherosclerosis index (AI) as well as body weight, the ratio of liver and spleen to body of hyperlipidemia models rat. The results showed that royal jelly proteins could significantly reduce the level of TC, TG and the elevation of AI, body weight and the ratio of liver and spleen to body, and increase the level of HDL-C of hyperlipidemia rat. And there were no significant difference between the functions of RJ and RJ proteins. But lipids of RJ had no hypolipidemic function. The results showed the main component on antilipemic function was protein of RJ.
