Anti-fatigue effect of water extract of Mountain Cultivated Ginseng

  • Objective:To research on the anti-fatigue effect of Mountain Cultivated Ginseng.Methods:50 ICR mice were divided into a control group, a Cultivated Ginseng, group (CG, 0.33g·kg-1) , and three Mountain Cultivated Ginseng group MCGL (0.17g·kg-1) , MCGM (0.33g·kg-1) , MCGH (0.50g·kg-1) , which were given distilled water and the corresponding drugs via gastrogavage.Mice were administrated one time per day (0.1mL·g-1 of body weight) , and continuous administration.Thirty days later, the exhaustive swimming time were recorded. In an exhaustive swimming task, the five indexes of lactic acid levels (LAC) , blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels, liver glycogen stores, lactic dehydrogenase activity and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels of the mice were tested and analyzed. Results:Compared with the control group and CG, MCGM and MCGH could prolonged exhaustive swimming time, reduced BUN levels, decreased accumulation of lactic acid in the blood, and increased liver glycogen levels and Lactic Dedydrogenase activity. Conclusion:Mountain Cultivated Ginseng had obvious effect of anti-fatigue.
