Abstract: Olea europaea leaf account for 10% of the total weight of olive harvest,which is a kind of rich and renewable resource with low price,and its extracts has pharmacological activities. Olea europaea leaf extracts are applied in the field of dietary supplements,cosmetics,and medicines. Olea europaea leaf extracts has the function of repairing liver injury,lowering glucose and protecting brain nerve,and it is expected to be a new drug for reducing glucose and assisting anti-breast cancer and ovarian cancer. This article reviews the extraction and purification technology of active components from Olea europaea leaf,the pharmacological activity of Olea europaea leaf extracts and the value-added utilization of Olea europaea leaf,the Olea europaea leaf extracts and their applications are summarized with a view to more systematically and fully exerting the efficacy of Olea europaea leaf.
