Abstract:
In this study, odor indexes were used to explore the odor difference of
Palaemon carinicauda with different feeding modes and to analyze the substitutability of the two feeding conditions. The
Palaemon carinicauda was used as the research object. The head-space solid phase microextraction-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(HS-SPME-GC-MS)and electronic nose technique were used to study the compound-fed
Palaemon carinicauda. The difference between the volatile components of the
Palaemon carinicauda fed with traditional bait was investigated to explore the effects of different feeding methods on the flavor of
Palaemon carinicauda. The results of GC-MS analysis showed that the volatile components in the two species of
Palaemon carinicauda were mainly furfural,heptaldehyde,furfural,methylheptenone,acetophenone,benzothiazole,D-limonene,cypress,naphthalene etc. 30 kinds of volatile substances were detected in the compound-fed
Palaemon carinicauda males and females. In the traditional feeding method,29 kinds of volatile components were detected in the male
Palaemon carinicauda, and 31 kinds of volatile components were detected in the female
Palaemon carinicauda. The electronic nose can't distinguish between two kinds of
Palaemon carinicauda. It is indicated that there was no significant difference in the volatile components between compound-fed and traditional feed. From the perspective of odor, compound feed can replace traditional feed.
