Abstract:
The antioxidant activity and hypoglycemic activity of
Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides from different regions were preliminary evaluated taking the DPPH free radical scavenging capacity(DPPH·),hydroxyl radical(·OH),superoxide anion radical(O
2-·)and alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity as indexes. The results showed that, there were significant differences between the contents of
Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides from different regions(
p<0.05),in which Jiangxi Xiushui county was the highest 5.85%±0.02%,the Pingyang township in Rongjiang county of Guizhou was the lowest 3.50%±0.10%. The DPPH·,OH·,O
2-·radical scavenging capacity and alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activities of polysaccharides from different habitats were different, and there was a certain dose effect relationship between the activity and the concentration of polysaccharides, that was,as the concentration of polysaccharide increased, the antioxidation and
α-glucosidase inhibitory activity enhanced. The
Cyclocarya paliurus polysaccharides had good antioxidant and hypoglycemic activity
in vitro, which would be further exploited and utilized.
