Abstract:
The storage experiments of Cucumis melo L.were carried out under the same air-conditioning ratio used 3 different packaging materials of polyvinyl alcohol ( PVOH) , polyethylene terephthalate ( PET) and polypropylene ( PP) . Different respiratory pathways were measured by liquid oxygen electrode every 10 days, including the respiration rate of glycolysis ( EMP) , tricarboxylic acid cycle ( TCA) , pentose phosphate pathway ( PPP) , cytochrome pathway ( CP) , alternative pathway ( AP) , total respiration ( Total) . On the 70 th day after harvest, the decay rate and fruit rate of each treatment group were analyzed. The results showed that the storage temperature was ( 3 ± 1) ℃ and the relative humidity was 75% ~ 85%. The concentrations of O
2 and CO
2 in the 3 kinds of package materials were about 5.59% and 1.80% and then compared with CK.The total respiratory rate of each treatment group was effectively inhibited. As the respiration rate of PP treatment group was less than that of other three groups, and the respiratory pathway of the EMP was affected by environment and shifted to the TCA.At the end of the storage, PP package treatment of melon storage quality was relatively best, which could effectively reduce the respiratory rate, delay the maturity, prevent the occurrence of disease and senescence. The quality of CK was worst.
