Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the hepatoprotective effects of Eseye extracts against alcohol-induced acute liver injury in mice.Method: The acute liver injury animal model was established in mice by alcohol gavage ( 50%) .The serum levels of ALT, AST, LDL-C and TG were determined. MDA, SOD and GSH-Px were detected in the liver homogenate, as well as the histopathological changes of the liver were observed by HE staining.Result: Eseye extract decreased the levels of ALT, AST, TG and LDL-C in serum.Meanwhile, the MDA content in liver homogenate was reduced whereas the activity of SOD and GSH-Px were increased by Eseye extract.According to the liver histopathological observation, all of treatment groups showed alleviation in mice liver injury to varying degrees. Conclusion: Eseye extract has protective effects on acute liver injury induced by alcohol in mice.
