Abstract:
Objective:To predict optimum conditions of polyphenol extraction from Panax notoginseng roots.Methods:Box-Behnken design was used to experimental design and analyze on the basis of single-factor experiments. Effect of ethanol concentration, extraction time, extraction temperature and their cross-interaction on the extraction rate of polyphenols were researched, and multiple regression model, the response surface plot and contour plots was established. Results:Optimum conditions of polyphenol extraction were ethanol concentration 62%, extraction temperature 58℃, extraction time 45min and the extraction rate of polyphenols reached 36.924mgGAE/g. Conclusion:At the optimal processing conditions, the actual extraction rate can reach predicted extraction rate 98.35%. Thus optimum conditions were reliable and that could be used for polyphenol extraction from Panax notoginseng roots.
