Abstract:
Grape stalks, as a class of byproducts from grape-derived food processing, is rich in high added value bioactive compounds, which may be used by pharmaceutical, food and cosmetic industries. But limited investigations and reports were focused on their bioactive compounds and /or industrial applications. In this paper, the research progress in the distribution, extraction and characterization of bioactive compounds in grape stalks were reviewed, which could provide useful reference for the comprehensive utilization of grape stalk.
