Abstract:
The antioxidant activity of exopolysaccharide of Ganoderma applanatum (GAEPS) in vitro were studied by using spectrophotometry. The scavenging capacities of GAEPS on superoxide anion radicals, 1, 1- diphenyl 2- picrylhydrazyl, hydroxyl free radicals and sodium nitrite were assayed and compared with that of Vitamin C.The experimental results showed that GAEPS had stronger capacity to antioxidant activity. The capacity to antioxidant activity displayed a dose- response relationship with the concentration of GAEPS.Its capacities of scavenging superoxide anion free radical, hydroxyl radical, DPPH· and sodium nitrite were 83.26% 、75.81% 、86.16% 、82.36% when GAEPS was 4.0mg /mL.
