Abstract:
Oils were extracted from soybean, sunflower seed, peanut, rapeseed, sesame, castor bean and tung tree seed with Soxhlet extraction method. The oil samples were treated with ultrasonic extraction by adding nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide, the clear transparent sample solutions were obtained after filtrated. The contents of magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, copper, zinc, strontium and manganese were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry (recovery ratios of the elements was 97.3% to 103.8%) .Na/K specific value of white peanut oil was the smallest;secondly one was of sunflower seed oil among the six kinds of edible vegetable oils, and Ca/Mg and Cu/Zn specific values of sunflower seed oil were higher than white peanut oil. Therefore sunflower seed oil should be chosen prior for preventing and treating hypertension considering the metallic element content. The metallic element contents of castor oil and tung oil being harmful to human were matched with the six edible vegetable oils, so it was not able to distinguish the oil which was added the them into the edible vegetable oils, and should combine the analysis of organic components.
