Abstract:
The performance of an antagonistic yeast Cryptococcus laurentii in combination with 2, 1, 3-Benzothiadiazole ( BTH) in controlling blue mold decay of peaches was evaluated. The results showed that the combined treatment reduced blue mold decay of peaches more obvious than with BTH or C.laurentii alone. Moreover, the host defence enzymes activity of peaches, including peroxidase (POD) , catalase (CAT) were enhanced by combined treatment of C.laurentii and BTH significantly and MDA of peaches was inhibited. Therefore, the combination of C.laurentii with BTH, which integrated the dual biological activity from the biocontrol yeast and plant regulator, might be developed to be a useful approach to reduce the disease incidence of peaches.
